Below you will find a glossary explaining some of the events we organize or support for the school. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3rd Grade Day – One day event focused on ancient civilization and chemistry organized by the HSA and 3rd grade teaching staff.

 

4th Grade PA Day – This event is organized as a cooperation between 4th grade teachers and the HSA, and includes guest speakers, crafts and other activities.

 

5th Grade Breakfast – Held on one of the last days of school, this is catered by the 5th grade parents for the 5th graders.

 

5th Grade Celebration – Graduation ceremony for 5th graders with slide show from their years at EGE.

 

5th Grade Tea – Tea for 5th grade parents organized and catered by 4th grade families.

 

Bingo Night – Organized by 5th grade parents and students to fund the 5th grade yearbook. 

 

Book Fair – The fall book fair is organized by the librarian and funds raised go toward the library.  The spring book fair is organized by the HSA and the funds raised go towards the HSA budget.

 

Coin Drive – Fundraiser where HSA collects spare change from students and staff to purchase weeks of East Goshen Rec summer camp for select students.

 

Donut Days – Every grade gets to enjoy a donuts (and juice or coffee) with a parent or other special person, alternating grades per month.

 

Fall Family Fun Night – A school wide back to school picnic with DJ and food trucks.  

 

Field Day – Fun outdoor games for Grades K-2 organized by the gym teacher and assisted by 4th graders at the end of school year.

 

Food for Friends – School wide event where students assemble breakfast bags for local charities.

 

Hospitality Dinner/Lunches for Staff – Dinner and/or lunch provided to the teachers and staff via donations of food and beverages from the HSA.

 

New Family Social– For Kindergarten parents and any other families that are new to East Goshen this year.  Held on the playground at EGE.

 

Open House – Grade specific times for the parents to meet their child’s new teacher.

 

Science Fair – 4th Graders present their science projects.

 

Special Olympics – Students from EGE’s autistic learning support program participate in an athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports.

 

Spring Fair – Food, fun, games and a fundraiser held in the Spring.

 

Stock the Staff Room - Families donate snacks and coffee to stock the Teacher's Lounge as a thank you to the staff for all they do.
